The x-braced back is one of the visual signatures of my guitars. The symmetrically carved braces with hardwood cap are clearly seen through the soundhole. In addition to the aesthetic impact, the brace is functional as well. The height of the intersection of the brace controls the stiffness of the back below the soundhole. The stiffness of this area helps create the proper balance between the guitar's projection and the sound to the player.
